I know it's not Halloween anymore but I uploaded this on Día de Muertos so that still counts, right? :D

Starring Brooklyn as a zombie bride, Damien as a vampire, Dawn as a witch, and Onyx as the Grim Reaper. Featuring Dawn's cat Effie as her familiar. So spooky! :3

These are the main characters for a comic I'm working on called "Dawn of Venus".

Wonderful stuff! I love the layout, line work, palette, and anatomy, but most of all I love your not using cookie cutter body types or faces. No uber svelte damsels, or hyper muscle types. Each face is individual and distinct. I'm thinking of the single shape anime types where the only differences are eye color and hair shape/color. You've gone your own way here, and well done. The telling part is - can you distinguish which toon is which without their hair? Yes! That alone is a well deserved pat on the back!

Layout - Good setup with the broom and hat leading the eye to the scythe, and back to the bride, competing the visual circle. Nothing too cluttered or lost in overlap. Each silhouette is distinct enough to identify the toon uniquely. Again, well done. Compare to some silly anime train wrecks where everybody's Grrr posture overlaps and they get lost in a color explosion of windswept clothing and hair. Don't do that.

Anatomy - Great! Simple and varied poses and body types without overdoing the musculature. Fat rolls and muscle accents where needed but no more. The labial bits on the witch is a nice detail. It looks like you've proportioned your bodies about 5 1/2 heads high, with the death toon a bit taller. That makes his hands look smaller, especially the one holding the scythe. If you keep human scale for hands, they'd be chin to forehead long, so increasing hand size a bit would bring out more expressiveness and accent the characters. Similar for feet, but it's your style sheet. I like the witch's toes through the socks. Nice detail.

Pose - Simple, effective, and fluid. Putting good anatomy to use is my weak spot, so I'm a bit sensitive here. I like what you've done a lot. To my eye, the Vampire is falling forward. Moving his left leg to footing behind the broom would keep his "Boo!" posture and not really lose anything. Great cat, too!

Color issues - Here's where I have some issues. Death gets lost in the lower right of the layout by blending into the dark background. Add a shine on the boots maybe? It wouldn't take much to light and counter shade the characters, but that would break the style. The bride on the left has less of a problem there, though the flowers get lost. Due to dark area behind the vampire, perhaps a brighter red on the coat would help. Brighter shoe details wouldn't hurt, either. You went to the trouble of giving him shoelaces, but it's lost in the darkness. I didn't see them until I put the image in Gimp and raised the color levels a few points brighter. Overall, lightening up the image, or at least the background wouldn't hurt.

Overall, great stuff and looking forward to more! Keep having fun!

I love them, oh my god, they're so cute!  Especially Damien, but I'm biased because he's my favorite.

Most wonderful and creative use of "naked" costumes! I always loved your style but thought it was missing that one... je ne sais quoi. I think you've nailed it on this one (or I'm just seeing it for the first time!)

And Dawn is SUPER cute! <3
