I LOVE THIS THEME! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I know it's not maintained anymore, but I was just wondering if you could put me in the right direction ... I'm trying to thicken the widget window scrollbars!
I figured it out! Assuming your 'elementary Dark' folder is in '/usr/share/themes' just run the command below after changing the bold number (6 is default) to the newly desired width! I set mine to 12:

sudo sed -i.bak '/GtkScrollbar.*slider-width/s/=.*$/= 6/' /usr/share/themes/elementary\ Dark/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

I'm having troubles with elementary dark theme and firefox, some input text boxes are pretty hard to see:………

Is there any fix?

I'm using the LP-PPA-versable-elementary-update/precise app repo

sorry, I haven't realized I've already posted it, and you answered me...
Are you perhaps planning on porting this theme to GTK3.10 or GTK3.12?
satya164's avatar
Nope. Because the original elementary theme has very bad support for Gnome. And they are working on a dark theme anyways.

I just found a workaround for the firefox issue, see:…

Yup. But as I said, it cannot be fixed inside the theme. Also, I don't even maintain the theme anymore.

Is there anywhere I can get the Dark elementary Window decorations as I am using KWin on Xubuntu.
Hi. I'm using this theme and I'm trying to edit the wingpanel transparency/color. How do I do that. Thanks.

You need to add a class .panel and set a rgba color as background.
HI. I already added .panel to the gtk-widgets file, but it doesn't change the background-color for some reason.   The panel will only change if I change  @define-color bg_color  in the gtk file but that setting also changes the background color of other things.  I just want to change the panel and not mess with anything else. For some reason @define-color bg color in the gtk file overrides my .panel settings.  Is there a fix? Thanks.
