a critique! this definitely made my day! Thank you so much dear! Critiques.... words, in general mean a lot to me I am glad you see my photo the way I intend it to be seen. I was definitely going for that 'feminine-I don't care style and mood and now you assured me that I nailed it!
First of all, I want to thank you for dedicating time to give such a thorough critique of my work! I really appreciate all the compliments you gave and all your critiques will be taken into consideration in my further- on work! Thank you for all your advice, it means a lot.
About the color, this was actually shot in color but my model had red sleeves, the wall behind her was green so I thought that the viewer would get easily distracted from the actual spider web and would miss my idea.
We found this spider web on a staircase, on the handrail particularly, so my model had to kneel down in order to get her face into the frame. Maybe, I could have gotten a better angle but since I wasn't really experienced with professional cameras, I think this was the best I could do. But again, thank you I will try your advice in an other situation.
About the bottom, those actually are cloth pieces. They are the sleeves from my models dress and it turned out like this because she was holding on to the staircase handrail.
Once again, thank you so much! These critiques help me improve my photography skills!
First of all I would like to thank you for the time dedicated on the writing of this critique, it is really an honor for me since this is first time ever that someone critiqued my work.
I am really glad that you "read" the story behind the picture, it is exactly what I wanted the picture to say. Knowing that the story is clear and readable makes even prouder.
As a matter of the angle, I wasn't quite in a position to experiment with it since the house was really old and this picture was taken on the roof. Both, the model and I were scared for our lives. Especially me! About the colors, I chose the more saturated type just because I wanted the picture to say more Revenge and less Despair.
Again, I am really grateful for this, I thoroughly respect your opinion and I am looking forward to reading your further critiques
