What? A comic longer than two panels? Double what? It features CMC? What treachery is this?!?!

Yeah, it's been a while. Especially for CMC comic. I haven't done one since...season 5?
Also yeah I'm aware that Scoots and Sweetie may look bit older here. I don't draw kid characters all that often, so I hope you don't mind ;)

Also thanks to :iconwhisperer-of-winds: for the insight on dialogue for this one ^^

This entire strip reminds me of an experience I had with my high school crush. She kept saying she wasn't very photogenic, but I kept trying to make her feel pretty.

At least Sweetie Belle doesn't need a selfie stick.

One reason I don't really fantasize about becoming a pony (à la "EQG: Spring Breakdown") is because I'd probably lose my ability to play music, as I'd lose my hands. The telekinetic abilities that may come with the transformation, however, would have helped my father and me during our trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls, as he yearned for a selfie stick the entire journey because he forgot to pack his, although I'm not entirely sure what kind of pony I'd become in such scenario. Because of this, I don't think such transformation would be a wise idea, especially if Amazon Prime could have delivered one to our room before we left.

But what are your feelings on this subject? Would you ever want to become a pony? And what kind of pony do you think you'd become and why?

I think that would be matter of adjusting to new body, posibilities and limitations. Also, eh, over the time it was depicted that ponies to same things human do, so
the difference got blurred a lot. Something that was more noticible in earlier seasons. Ah well.

As for that question, I admit I never gave it much of a thought but out of pratical use I would say being a unicorn would have lots of perks. Although I always liked how earth ponies were more "down to earth" in a way, so I dunno. But I do guess I would prefer having a horn since having magic at disposal would help a lot ;) Also hey, what's not to love about simple premise of having your talent being clear as day and simply doing what you know what you're good at. Some may call it limiting but personally to me that's pretty clear cut, not in a bad way.

"Having your talent being clear as day and simply doing what you know you're good at"... no offense, but are you referring to this video? m.youtube.com/watch?v=CVEuPmVA…

Not really, to be honest that's the first time I see it.

So what were you referring to?
saturdaymorningproj's avatar
What am I supposed to be referring to? I said it would be nice to have more clear cut career path. It's not always easy to navigate to it, and decide what you want to do for a living, let alone make a breakthrough in career-path you want. Simple as that.

Sweetie Belle filter, when all the others fail this will block as much as possible that punishment of nature that you call your face.

(mentally imagines replacing Sweetie Belle with Rarity and Scootaloo with Rainbow Dash)
...
Yep, it STILL works. :P

It does. I was pondering about such cast for this comic, but I don't draw CMC all too much, so I think I somewhat owe that to them ;)

Poor Scutes, she always looks so sad in pictures... for good reason.

I think a little too much of Rarity has rubbed off on her. :P

BTW, that "new" camera looks like a 1980s Polaroid to me. :P

Hahaha yup, I have huge sentiment for that type of camera myself, I had one back in the 90's, good times ;)

I kinda like the fact that they look a bit older, even if it was accidental. The idea of these characters growing together and continuing in their friendship throughout their teen years, which many kids in real life don't do, is appealing.
