HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY, AXL!!!!

I'm about to get very cheesy. Read at your own risk! Oh, and fuck off if you don't like my cheesiness. Just sayin'!

Alrighty, so! On my side of the world, it's February 6, 2012 which means it's also a VERY special day! It's Axl Rose's 50th birthday! It's so hard to believe he's come so far and done so much in all these years of his life. He's worked so hard to get to where he's at, he's still rockin' his ever living ass off, and I have so much love and respect for this man, who I used to say I was going to grow up and marry when I was just a 4 year old little girl back in '87 and who's music I grew up to, loved and still love to this day. Who's music gave me special memories from childhood like with Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City respectively. Patience and November Rain also hold special places in my heart. Who's band has always been and always will be my favorite! So, I drew this for him not only as just a gift but in tribute to such a wonderful man who's given his fans (myself included) such a massive gift; a little bit of himself. When I say this I mean his interviews, his deep discussions telling us about his life and letting us see more inside of this enigma, his encouragement toward his fans, his love for his fans, and the biggest gift of all, his music. All the beautiful, symbolic lyrics written within his songs are all based on a large element of truth, of things that have happened in his life, things he felt in his heart, his emotions, his happiness, his heartbreak and pain, his losses and his triumphs. So, this goes to rock and roll's most charismatic, brilliant, beautiful and the greatest frontman of all time, Mr W. Axl Rose. Happy 50th Birthday, Axl! I'm grateful for all that you've done! Thank you for all you've given me with the gift and inspiration you shower me with day in and day out by just being yourself and giving me the forever memorable gift of your music. I am proud to call myself your fan!

(P.S. I was brave enough to tweet this to not only Axl, but also to Guns N' Roses on twitter and the GN'R band members in hopes that somebody will get this to him and he'll see it! And as you can probably tell by the title, I was highly inspired by November Rain to do my piece like this!)
