Description
My color work for the official World of Warcraft Coloring book. I scanned the lineart from the book, printed it as A4, traced it and re-inked it onto watercolor paper. Then I colored it with watercolors, colored pencils, white ink and gouache and some other stuff
I was so freaking scared when coloring this. I worked so carefully and slowly because I really really didn't want to ruin it. I'm so happy with the outcome. The eye and Frostmourne glow effect gave me a bit of a headache but I managed eventually!
Also, freaking loving this paper OMG!!! It's Stonehenge Aqua hot press and I just tried it for the first time. It just does everything you expect it to. Gorgeous for watercolors. Gorgeous for colored pencil. And vegan. I'm in love.
Royal Talens Rembrandt watercolors
Polychromos + Luminance colored pencils
White ink and gouache (Schminke Aero Color and DalerRowney)
A bit of Rembrandt soft pastels and Brush and Pencil Titanium White powder
Stonehenge Aqua hot press watercolor paper
The original artwork belongs to Blizzard. I merely colored this.

Oh, this is just awesome! You were worried for no reason because this is looking absolutely gorgeous. The armor has really cool 3D-effect in it due to the shades of colour working just correctly together! I remember seeing the linework and you really made it come alive through these colours!
The sword is just super: the blue glow looks awesome and I know how hard it is to make things 'glow' in art. It's a bit tricky effect to do but this one works really well with the background and all. The snowflakes are my favourite part in this: they're just everywhere dotting the paper and really giving off the chillyness of the environment. Is all of this snow or is there some water involved aswell? The 'wave' in the background kinda reminds me of a frothy wave raging about.
I'll stop gushing now! It's simply really pretty work! (I'll also have to remember the paper you're using since it sounds like a dream to work with! I'm done trying to use Canson for anything other than acrylic paintings and promarkers! It simply doesn't have the correct surface for dry techniques.)
