After rescuing the missing kobold leader the party decides to befriend the malnourished kraken that had unintentionally been holding Nux captive. Forging a new friendship with the aquatic behemoth reveals insight into the strange portals appearing in the mine and fortuitous news that a young kobold, long thought dead, may still be alive, albeit on another plane of existence.
