This is one of my first serious attempts at making a typographical quote poster. They're a lot trickier than I thought!
Still, I'm pleased with the final result and will definitely be making more of them in the future. They're very relaxing.
We all have professor(s) who make lasting impressions on us—or, rather, I sincerely hope that we do. Featured
above are the indelible words of Andrew Hendrixson, recorded in January of 2012 during an art history lesson.
"Anyone who has ever made anything of importance was disciplined."
This quote, in particular, is one of my favorites. If we want to make meaningful contributions to the world, we need
to be rigorously committed to our work… Be purposeful. Be earnest. We should all want to tirelessly pursue excellence.
Be prepared for more of his wisdom. I have a sizable collection of his inspiriting words saved in a document on my
computer and plan on converting them into type posters. As soon as my fonts have been hyper-organized, that is, lol.

Sara, I love this piece! I shared it on twitter. The look is catchy and stands out. It also evokes a 50's Campbell soup feel (that appeals to me, as I slurped a lot of it as a child of that era!) As importantly, the message rings true. If you wish to accomplish any worthy task, it requires a steadfast determination to see it through. People who operate without discipline can rarely achieve great things. Thanks for sharing this inspiration.
