I choose to make a tutorial about how to blend with acrylics. Well I hope it helps you, it was way more difficult to explain than I thought, especially writing it in english (:
Still I hope you understand how it works :)

I'm looking all over for this acrylic tutorial. Thanks!

This is a really great outcome with blending, it looks very smooth. I'm new to painting, could you give me a little information on what you mean by blending them with water? Wouldn't watering the paint down make it run? And what sort of ratios did you use?

thank you! :D
Sure thing, it's easier to blend colors if you add liquid, with acrylics it's water. You can also blend them with only colors but it's more difficult. Yes if you take too much then they run, but I usually paint on my desk, so they don't run that easily. What exactly do you mean with rations? The mixture of water and paint?

Yeah, the ratio of water to paint. I heard you can thin the paint by mixing it with water before, but I tried once and didn't have too much luck. I'm really not sure what to aim for. Perhaps I didn't use enough water?

Also, I'm not sure if you can help with this bit, but... I looked all over for a tutorial on how to use a fan brush but I can't really find anything useful. Could you possibly explain, or point me in a direction for a good tutorial? I read that it can be used for trees and clouds, which is something I'm currently working on right now, but I'm pretty new to painting... So I can't figure out how to get the right outcome.

There is no right ratio. It depends what you want to do. If you want to blend something then much water is good, but not too much otherwise the paint will be too transparent, maybe that's a cool effect as well (:

If you're new to painting, then all I can give you as a tipp is try out EVERYTHING. Really, painting is so much experience. If you don't know how to do it then look at artworks which you like and try to paint those parts you like in them. You really have to try out everything, through that you'll learn the most. Of course there are some techniques which are learnable through tutorials, but those are just additional. Sorry but I can't help you with that brush. I used to have one, but I never really used it in the end. You can look some Bob Ross videos though. He often uses those brushes for painting trees and this stuff. It's great, since you can actually see him painting and you learn a lot (:

This is one of my favorite tutorials which inspired me a lot. Also think of tutorials as inspirations and try out different and unusual things, too, like coffee, wine,... you can paint with almost everything.

Alright, thankyou very much! I've been doing just as you said, actually. My last two paintings [I haven't uploaded them] have been me trying to copy a scene, and it kinda helps me because I get to see what it should look like as opposed to what I made, and then I can focus on what I'm doing wrong from there. It's nice because looking back, even though I've only got five paintings, I really notice a big difference from each one.

I'll check out these tutorials and see what I can do. Thanks, I really appreciate your help!

Thank you very much for this tutorial! I have a few paintings with some scaled creatures in them so this was super helpful! I normally just workaround any difficulties but sometimes after using layer upon layer to get the look down right I get a little frustrated! Perhaps now I will be able to get a better angle on polishing my scaled pieces! Thanks again! I am a dummy!

Oh you're most welcome! Great that it helped you! I'm really happy about it :D

Haha it was a wake up call I was making such a simple mistake! I was using black and white not even mixing it just using it on top of the layers! Yikes! Which is odd since I normally use purple in black place...oh well~
