Euthyrhizaaegidi rubricollum by Sanrou Euthyrhizaaegidi rubricollum by Sanrou

Euthyrhizaaegidi rubricollum is a small herbivorous creature that can be found all across the Eden Valley. Living in herds up to 70 individuals, E. rubricollum, like the greater majority of the Blandopoda, moves through jumps: they walk slowly and kinda akward, but natural selection had compensate in a tension-base structural limb that allow jumps up to 40 meters in height and 110 meters in distance. In resume, they are slow and constantly fall (there is even a tubular internal organ responsible for a “counter-weigh” to avoid more falling) but can escape dangerous situations with big and fast jumps.

Since the nocturnal rain in ANU is a constant, water became a safe and easy resource. For that the Blandopoda (and other groups) have a water collector to trap and storage the rain water. It also works as a primary lung to make de gases exchanges with the atmosphere.

    E. rubricollum have its rear legs adapted to glide in controled falls, and “hooks” used to stick to the ground in the violent winds of the twilight storms. On the top of its head, retractible ears can been seen along a redish frill-like structure used to long visual comunication between individuals of the same herd.

The description of the other creatures will be updated soon!!

Sorry for murdering the english language (corrections and suggestions are welcome) Sweating a little...

Now, these designs are PURE alien
i could never imagine aliens of this magnitude

Magnifying Glass I like how the scales around that creature's thorax make it look like a piece of baby corn.

As someone who's watched star trek all their lives, I would love to see these things in my gameplays of star trek online. This thing looks so cool, but in relation to the environment it lives and what I've read of Anu, this thing looks like it could work.

And I love the cross section of the legs and how they work. I could actually see how these things work

I find the leg design incredibly fascinating. :) So there's no true bone in the leg, just cartilage? It's flexible the whole way through?

Yep. While there are some creatures (the bigger ones to come) in ANU that presents some structures which resemble endoskeletal bones, the blandopoda never (had to) evolve with these.

Rubber legs, basically :D (Big Grin)
