Alassosaltaria by Sanrou Alassosaltaria by Sanrou
To introduce the Blandopoda, one of the most diverse groups in ANU, there's A. exilicortex and A. Fluviapricus.

Living in a amphibious lifestyle, they can been encountered all over the Abzu belt on the banks of lakes.

With long, thin and fast legs, they usually jump around from place to place in the dense atmosphere of the planet.
If compared with the other Capillosomae, the most distinct differences are the antennae used for close bioeletric comunication and the abscence of the "nose tubes".

Sorry for murdering the english language (corrections and suggestions are welcome) Sweating a little...

Magnifying Glass I like how you drew their chameleon-like eyes.

Intos tablet, photoshop CS6 and practice. There are a lot of tutorials out there that can help you out, but practicing is the most essential. I can send some references for you, if you need it. Just let me know via note.      =]

Maybe very out of the place but how did they reproduce ?

And what kind\s of defense mechanism\s they have other than jumping ?
In our earth salamanders have regeneration \healing extremely fast and in extreme situations. (In one case Size)
Frogs have; generally; venom (in a few case size) and; jump; yep ^^;

They reproduce with a kind of "allogamy" with no sexual dimorphism. Even with the cross-fertilization, usually the strong subjugate the weak (sometimes two or three at the same time) having a advantage on the quantity of "gametes".
The other question will be answered in a update, soon. Sweating a little...

What's the leg structure? It looks like jointed arthropod legs at the base but then turns into something like flexible tentacle. Which looks very cool but makes me wonder how it's constructed so that it supports this guys weight.:)

It will be better explained in the next creature (in the next 3 days or so)
What i can say is that they are not so heavy as they look, plus lower gravity, and this kind of legs are only find on the smaller creatures (up to 1m in height).

To the right ---->
They act like mini antelopes bumping each other with these little horns for territory, so the front have more effect with a larger area.

And thank you for the faves! :D (Big Grin)

Ah alright, I thought so but the feelers kinda threw me off.
That sounds pretty cool (and cute)... I can really see it in front of my inner eye :)
Are you going to draw some scenes from ANU as well or just creature charts like that?

You are most welcome! How could I not favorite something so cool ;)
