i likes it sp, but theres a few things that i would change about it.

i like the mesh and how its called carbonize its a cool theme, but when you look down the page theres nothing more to be seen of it. you should incorporate more of the mesh in other places of the template, otherwise the banner just looks like its been stuck there without any thought behind it just because it looks good.

i think its a little busy and its because theres soo much white text, and bacause the dark grays and blacks blend together (which is good sometimes). but because theres no seperation between the posted text, the signature, the users info and the background, i just don't know where to look first. so maybe contrast all those elements a bit more - you could use the mesh to do this maybe?

apart from all that i recon its bloody good :D

Now that's a comment :P

I'll think things over, but the banner is actually the least of my concern. I just needed a name ^^
I suck at making graphics on my own (like headers and stuff) and I figure that people'll change it anyhow when they set it up :D

Thanks for the feedback though!

I love the new skin,

The colours are easy on the eye and compliment each other nicely!

Particularly like the honeycomb grill effect for the header

I doubt that'll be the new skin though :D
That's just something I made myself. I ported the current skin by Dementia over to the new Ipb already, but we're also expecting a new skin that's being made atm.

All that's left for us now is to make the database port, which will proof to be quite tricky I think ^^

What DB are you switching from and what DB are you planning on using in future?

We're running Ipb 2.3.1 still, so we're switching over from there.
We're gonna clean the database first for unwanted tables and drop them all, so we can have a pretty clean move.

Trickiest part will be the tables that we will still need (such as points for example) so we need to get those things in order first :)

yeah also make at least 2 complete backups, check for compatibility in import/export ... always worth a look, as well as known bugs in these issues ...

I remember to a php one a few years ago and the thing had miss structured some of the tables on export ... it was a nightmare to fix ...

Yeah, I ported one myself when I still ran Sp-Renders. Good think I had some help from someone who knew what he was doing back then :D
