A faceless dreamist lost in the ambitions of becoming an artist.
I am an artist that creates work both original and fan based. Much of my work centers around dreams, nature, and personal experiences. Keeping memories & forever on a nostalgia high, I want to share my art with others in the hopes of changing for the better and using art to understand my self, my life, and the world around me.
TUMBLR - Alongside my finished work, I post sketches, art not shared here, as well as music from time to time INSTAGRAM - Wips, sketches, studies, & art TWITTER - Perhaps the online space I am most casual on. Generally an art-centric twitter where I share my own work as well as fellow creatives and art related content Occasional chit chat about my interests or thoughts.
Hello everybody As we all know, it was Sonic's 27th birthday yesterday and the anniversary of his debut upon the world! Congrats Blue! And of course, let's not forget about Robotnik either If not for him, there would be no Sonic and vice versa.
I thought I'd stop by to do a Sonic related journal to showcase some of my personal favorite Sonic art that I have discovered so far here on deviantART - I know that this is only a small slice of the amazing talent that fills the Sonic community. The hedgehog has touched so many over the years and has kept us all inspired to keep running down this road we all call life.
There is so much I would like to say about Sonic right now and how he has personally impacted my life and person, but given my current situation, I find myself unable to say much but I will say, that Sonic has always symbolized a sense of freedom, color, and light in my life. I honestly could say one of the things that keeps me going in my darkest of times is Sonic. Or why, despite all the darkness and ugliness I encounter, I still remain a hopeful spirit. The lessons that I have learned from Sonic and the many adventures he's been through, the people he has met, the stories his world has offered, and how he always looks forward with a grin and bright eyes - helps me feel like I can continue whenever I feel lost or like I cannot continue.
Sonic brought color into my life and is the initial reason why I fell in love with drawing. I've been drawing Sonic since I was 5 years old. And even now, as an adult I continue to draw him and immerse myself in his world time and time again. Sonic will always make appearances in my artwork no matter my age or place in life. He is always going to be there. I draw Sonic things because Sonic is a major part of my life and person. I cannot imagine a life with Sonic absent in it. How I would be. Sonic, and his world are part of me and I'm not ashamed to say that.
Despite all the negatives and questionables… I will always stand firmly as a Sonic fan.
And I love seeing and meeting other fans - some I've been lucky enough to become friends with - and I love seeing all the amazing things those fans create and do. How they live their lives, certain parts of their lives, that were inspired by Sonic.
The games. The comics. The shows. The art and crafts. The fan projects. Everything. It's all so amazing and I'm proud of this community for all of that. Focus on the positives and don't ever let someone make you feel bad about loving something. Don't be ashamed of your passions, the things that make you who you are. Treat each other with respect, kindness, and acceptance and help Sonic spread all those positive things you feel out into the world.
Anyways, I'm going to take my leave here as I cannot bring myself to say more so,

Hey you guys! So I just got back from my eye doctor today to check up on my Blepharitis and good news it's gotten much better
My doctor says I'll be fine so long as I just daily clean my eyelids and use hot compresses on my eyes from time to time but I'm good to go again! So I'll be back later this month with some new work since I can return to finishing some digital paintings.
Sorry I haven’t uploaded more art just yet this month. I went to the eye doctor yesterday because I’ve been experiencing eye irritation for several weeks and nothing I was doing was helping my situation. Apparently I’ve contracted something called Blepharitis (eyelid inflammation).
It’s primarily caused by collected bacterial growth around the eyelids, clogged oil glands in the eye, or improper eye hygiene. My right eye became swollen in the earlier weeks of this experience and I’ve lost a few eyelashes/had weirdly growing ones, itchy and buggy eyes. I thought it was allergies or simple worn out eyes at first so I waited to see a doctor, but I’m glad I went to get checked.
One of the symptoms of Blepharitis is light sensitivity, so I haven’t worked on art much this month due to my eyes being unable to look at my computer screen for long - I wasn’t sure why at first my eyes were so bothered but now I know.
I’ll be fine so long as I clean my eyelids and eyes daily for a while, rest, and use special eye drops. To avoid contracting Blepharitis, make sure you well manage any bacterial accumulation surrounding your eyelids, keep them clean, and keep your eyes hydrated and well rested. Especially you contact lense wearers!
