Description
Princess Celestia is awesome, but her mane is a pain. Her wings are a pain. Her magic is a pain. Even her tapestries are a pain. But I think I've learned more about drawing and how to organize layers than I have in all previous images I've done combined. It's not the best, but I needed to get it done. I'll probably do this again in a year to compare progress!
I used this screenshot as a reference, but this is the first time I've actually gone rogue. There was no way I was using season 1 wings and magic, so I looked up some later references and patched them in. (Maybe next year I'll go for a fancy "galaxy" mane, but, uh... Not this time.)
I should start logging hours. I estimate this one at about 18 hours.
