Wow, thanks a lot for your thoughts about this photo. It's really useful to get feedback from a pro. I still have a lot to learn about the techniques but I enjoy learning and look forward to progress.

True. I'll have to keep experimenting.

Mostly I'm using only one AF spot as well, the problem is to get it right where I want it. Especially when it comes to flowers and other tiny thingies.

I will definitely try to use the manual focus more but it's much easier in conditions with good light. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, it's far from perfect and to be honest I didn't spend much time to set up the light or anything. I used my external flash and other light sources in the room was not enough. The camera I'm using right now has only three AF spots and besides from that, my vision has been impaired since birth which makes it kinda hard to use manual focus, which I would have preferred otherwise. So shooting this flower made me tired and frustrated. I simply tried to catch it while it was still fresh and blooming.

However, enough of excuses. Thanks again for giving me feedback. I really need it and as you said yourself and as I replied on your comment on the candle photo; I still have lots of learning to do. To get around using high ISO in dark conditions, setting up good sources for light and to manage to keep track of the AF spots are some of the biggest challenges for me. Having broken eyes is so annoying in those situations.
