The Art of the Sketchbook
I have to admit that this my New Years resolution this year was to develop the discipline of carrying a sketchbook again, that intimate collection of my thoughts, ideas and inspirations. To that end I actually bought a new sketchbook and carried it around for a few weeks with my laptop before abandoning it unused beneath a stack of unread art magazines.
So to inspire me today to renew my commitment I did a search of some sketchbook pages here on DA and was incredibly impressed. I realized that it is an art form in itself.. the sketchbook page a wonderful insight into the working mind of the artist that creates and nurtures it. What a great window into the creative process, inspiration, insight and technical skill of the artist who develops it. The beauty of the simple sketchbook is it is a record of your daily life, travels, experiences, thoughts, etc. What a wonderful record of your journey as an artist.. a great place to experiment with new concepts, ideas an techniques in safety.. t

Children Illustrators Showcase volume 1
Illustration is an entire part of our everyday life, especially for children. Children books are childhood memories worth framing. Fanciful backdrops for that magical space between dreams, reality and sleep. It's also a creative communication tool, which can't live without talented authors.
For this first issue, i decided to share my vital interest in children’s literature and to showcase +50 of some of the best illustrators pieces i had the chance to discover through deviants galleries since 2 years and half.
In next each new volume, i will also make a special feature of an illustrator.
These artists are using a lots of different medias : watercolor, acrylic, gouache, ink, pencils, collage, prints, and also digital computer-based tools.

Merry Christmas 2017
A couple of months ago, I've rescued a kitten from the mai road outside of my apartment. Was just hoping to keep her till she's healed up and ready to be re-housed as I already have a mean cat at home who is aversed to any competition. Long story short...close friends and family asked me to keep her...Kameko attacked...kitten suffered eye injury...multiple vet visits with the impending horror of eye surgery....her eye THANK GOD got better...kept her till her vaccination rounds are's Christmas, she seems at home and is troubled when I attempt to re-house her with potential foster homes....may decide to keep her after all. Oh well....she's a real roach killer on the plus side. Wil see how 2018 fares for both kitties.

Wow,Wow,Wowieee!! What a whirlwind it has been so far! The project I've been slaving over for a couple of years is nearing the final stretch with the launching of Origanimals on ZooMoo Asia starting tomorrow at 9:05am,1pm,5pm and 9pm respectively.  It's been a tough learning curve for me since joining Giggle Garage first as a character designer, which quickly lead to some unexpected surprises over the short span of 3 years. To sum it up, I've graduated from being a character designer before being thrown in as an asst. director which then lead to becoming a Story Director on that same project...and now am co-Directing a new project on another animated series called The Kazoops with Cheeky Little Media based in Sydney. A couple of other projects have also been launched simultaneously this year, some ads on one side...and then another series on the other...and hankering to get my animation short off the ground. Like I said, it's been a whirlwind and I feel my body is getting accustomed to working the double shifts every week not counting the additional chores and jobs I've set up for myself over the weekends, like picking up a couple of foreign languages during my spare time, giving private art lessons, working on my graphic novels & prepping for another Art Gallery installation taking place middle of this year.  I think I'm setting myself up to be killed softly but I suppose this will only help to build character and stamina along the journey. Felt that my coping mechanisms are a whole lot better than when I was starting out earlier in my career. Certainly,I've picked up a lot of knowledge and know-how that could only come from hands-on experience. I think now would be an opportune moment to thank my boss,ED & my mentor,Naz for believing and trusting in me enough to throw me into the Lion's mouth to either sink or swim while in the process of learning the ropes while on the job with such a demanding and grinding pipeline.
All I can say is that,Thank God for blessing my life thus far and for enabling me to cope and work out the daily demands this year has brought on so far.
I'm still alive and have christened this year to be "Make-Myself-Happy 2016" which I fully intend to see through.
Hope everyone's been doing fine out there. I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond back to everyone in a timely fashion. But just want you to know that I do try to read everyone's notes, just sorry am not able to reply back to everyone regularly as I'd like. I will try to update and keep a journal going if anyone ever spends their precious time reading my rambles.
Cheers to a enlightening and 'WottAnAmazing' year it's been so far. Take cares, folks!
