In Stockholm. Noticed this boy fully occupied shooting rubber bands. He didnīt noticed me standing beside him and taking some photos from the hip. As a young boy I was a great rubber shooter.
That's great! He's focus is intense! Good shot.
Great shot. When you shoot from the hip do you then crop off of the full frame and adjust the horizontal level or do you shoot from the hip and add a requirement that the result, to be successful for you, must stay full-frame as shot? I'm asking out of actual interest not as a way of suggesting one over the other. In the days of film, any extensive crop would be noticeable because the grain would be different enough from full frame. But with digital work, it is very easy to crop up to 50% with no impact at all within normal exhibition sizes. As a result, the discipline of the frame at the time of shooting seems to be shifting. I used to be a full frame fanatic. So much so that I printed all my work with the sides of the film frame showing. But increasingly I find Lightroom and Aperture to be my friends.
Thanks. That is a question from old filmie days. When doing photo jobs today you must have some extra space around a scene. Itīs up to the designer to crop in different ways before publishing. A professional camera gives a proper pic for this.
Wonderful shot of a kid being a kid! Did he see it?
You have to forgive me, as I don't usually cuss, as it shows lack of intellect to find a better adjective to describe something... But, this is fucking phenomenal! Amazing shot all the way through!
