This was made for a friend who has a band named Clarence Buffalo. One of his band mates nixed it so it wasn't used.
It was created in Photoshop with an optical mouse using a photo of a bison skull for reference. It's my first digital painting that looks like something real.

Sweet job Smiley! I love the random chaos of most of your other work, and this is such a great departure it really struck me. Very fluid and well crafted.
Thanks, Tim! It was a compulsive and labored undertaking, so it was disappointing that one of my friend's band mates said it looked too much like the Texas Longhorn's logo (college football team). That's why it was nixed. Forget that the Longhorn logo is a silhouette of a long horn steer, with skin and ears and everything. Oh well.
The logo I created for them that they approved is more cartoonish and stylized. I'll put it up when I can.
