Orbital Bombardment

Sometimes the best solution is the simplest.

Storyline-wise, this is the end of the minor rebellion in the frontier Telamon Sector's Mamoru System. A charismatic leader managed to rise to power on the planet Galt with aspirations of greater self-rule and an alternate ideology from the accepted Union norm, causing many to question and reevaluate the prevalent social and political structures. There was a degree of discussion at Sec-Com on whether to allow this experiment to succeed or fail on its own...or to crush it with direct overwhelming force. Of course the latter view prevailed, the Union does not tolerate counter-productive philosophies within its territory.

The clearest examples are those that shine the brightest.
