allow me to be frank, as a Chinese who learnt Chinese calligraphy throughout his childhood tells you that you did not catch any essence of the Chinese calligraphy, which means what you wrote looks as much as a child who just started his calligraphy career. And I am so sorry to tell you that this is definitely not Chinese calligraphy. And the women who claims that she works a lot with Chinese calligraphy, I am sure either she was trying to make you feel confident or she is merely a impressionists like Picasso.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand, and once again as in the previous message plead some artistic license with the forms and the structure ~ I was experimenting with something that I had not seen done before, and as I do not know how ot write or speak Chinese, I had to go on trust with the lettering. My exact phrase ~ you can read it below ~ is that "...she said that it worked for her[e]... maybe she was being kind but I was told that she always speaks her truth so after her okay I was happy to put it up..."

This piece was also done almost 10 years ago and my art has developed and changed much since then..

peace and blessings to you.
sorry but quite frankly i feel like you didnt catch the essence of these Chinese words... The strokes, the curvatures, and the dots are not quite right... otherwise a great piece of art work here.

Hi,

thank you very much for your message and acknowledgement.

Regarding capturing the essence of the words, before posting them here many years ago I did ask a chinese artist and musician who works a lot with chinese calligraphy her opinion and she said that it worked for here... maybe she was being kind but I was told that she always speaks her truth so after her okay I was happy to put it up.. but I would plead some artistic license.. and I do sincerely thank you for taking time to write your comment - feedback is always very welcome and I am learning everyday..

peace!

Samir

all of your work is exquisite... this one I fave'd for the simple, extra reason that I'm taking a course in Chinese writing (formalizing what I've been teaching myself for a year or so) ... the calligraphic embellishments are still in the future... thanks for sharing all of these
