Godzilla (1998), A Nymphoid Barbarian In Dinosaur Hell and Teenage Caveman (1958). What do all three of these films have in common? They're all suppose to be about dinosaurs/prehistoric animals. However, none of the creatures featured in these films truly are dinosaurs/prehistoric animals. They are what I like to call Pseudosaurs (meaning False Lizard). Pseudosaurs are modern animals (usually reptiles) that have mutated into dinosaur-like creatures (usually as a result of nuclear contamination). The 1998 version of Godzilla and the creatures seen in both A Nymphoid Barbarian In Dinosaur Hell and Teenage Caveman are not truly dinosaurs or any other prehistoric creature. They are in fact lizards and various other modern animals that have been mutated by nuclear fallout and therefore only superficially resemble dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. Another example of a Pseudosaur would be Gargantua, the giant mutated salamander from the 1998 film of the same name. Like Zilla and the creatures in the other two movies mentioned previously, he only superficially resembles a dinosaur due to mutation.
