Okay, let me give you some critique. I will apologise in advance for my poor English ;).

The first thing in a picture is in my opinion the impact. What does the picture do for you? The first thing I notice are the colours, the colours are not like you see everyday. The sky is orange (sunset/sunrise?) , the snow goes along with the sky, it is also orange (not strange, given the fact that snow is white and white colours are easily affected by surrounding colours). This all is covered in a layer of fog, nice touch. It isolates the background from the front. When we move a little down (still looking at colours), we see a autumn setting of bare trees and brown grass. It goes along very well with the fog in the background, which reflects the grey sphere.
I love the colours.

The second thing that stands out is the subject. Taking into account the title, the little houses (barns) are the subjects. Because you have a big depth of field (not strange, given the fact the distance between you and the barns is very big, a small depth of field would be very hard to create) the subject don't really stand out, they blend in very well with the surrounding objects. This makes the picture along with the title a kind of picture puzzle. I think you could make the subject stand out more by making a different crop. I would say; lose the trees on the left (it is a big dark spot which attracts a lot of attention).

Speaking of crops, that is my third point. I might be very wrong here, but I don't really understand the crop. Or is this the full picture? I would make a 16:9 crop I think, and ditch a big part of lower part of the picture.

My forth is the sharpness, which is no critique, but a compliment. Did you use the hyperfocal distance or not?

And then (finally) my last point, the vignetting, which (I think), is a really nice touch, good job. It makes the picture 'close' on the edges and makes your view go back to the picture itself.

Don't take this as an offend, it is just some critique from one person, I am not holy, so when you don't agree, just let me know ;).

Cheers.

I usually never look at works that have the dA watermark, but in this case the lyrical subject matter and soft colors drew my in and looked at the full sized picture. It's a marvelous shoot, and I view several others in you gallery that I was glad to see did not have the watermark. There's a almost melancholy mood with your work that has great appeal.

THANK you a ton for your comment.
What do you mean by melancholy mood?

Your welcome.

melancholy
noun
1. a gloomy state of mind, especially when habitual or prolonged; depression.
2. sober thoughtfulness; pensiveness.

I feel the use in this case is number 2 and a feeling of sadness.

Oooh...perfect. As someone who lives in the States, in Midwestern farm country, forty miles form the nearest Walmart, I can tell you isolation is my favorite.
I also love the angle. The dark trees on the left, but the light cutting in on the hill, and the faded mountains...my eyes are dawn to the tiny, lonely little building. I don't know much, but it strikes me as lovely composition.

Europe, but you probably want the location. I think that our group was heading to Mount Pilatus and those mountains in the background are the Swiss Alps.

you're are sooooooo lucky. I would love to live in Europe. It's so beautiful there. Everything is a work of art. In the United States the buildings are so boring and have no character. I was there for almost two weeks and I loved every minute of it.

I absolutely love this one ! ! !
It has become my favorite 'Favourite', and is very similar to my favorite painting, 'Anon'. (You'll see what I mean if you visit my Favourites Gallery.) 'Isolated' reminds me of the summers I spent with my Dad in Colorado. Nice hues and subtle contrast. It makes me feel like I'm there, but in a darker distant memory kind of way, (if that makes any sense).
