Argentinosaurus by SameerPrehistorica Argentinosaurus by SameerPrehistorica
Argentinosaurus is one of the massive dinosaurs to walk the Earth. It measured 100 to 115 feet long or more and weighed as much as 15 African elephants, about 75 - 100 tonnes Oops! . It is among the largest dinosaurs along with Puertasaurus and Alamosaurus.

Fossils have been found in Argentina, South America.

Seems like no one believes in the large size of Amphicoelias fragilimus anymore or the animal itself.

Oh, I see you are still sticking to the older reconstruction of argentinosaurus, why are you negating the more recent, brachiosaur-like reconstrution?

We don't have enough materials for argentinosaurus to know how it's body shape was like, isn't it ? So far it doesn't seem like there is enough proof that this animal having brachiosaur-like body. So i prefer to stick with this old reconstruction. Are you comparing this animal to Alamosaurus and Patagotitan ?
Then again i saw few different reconstructions for Alamosaurus and Patagotitan having brachiosaur-like body and then the Salatasaurus-like body. Have you seen the reconstruction of Dreadnoughtus ?
Sometimes people create different reconstructions for a same animal as they have doubts. I did wanted to ask a question to a paleontologist about Alamosaurus having brachiosaur-like reconstrution.

True true, I've already forgotten that dreadnoughtus doesn't even rempotely resemble a brachiosaurid.

The new ones are kind of like a mix of diplodocids, brachiosaurids and titanosaurs... I guess he's not following those references.

Even bigger than 115 ft? I thought you did this older version to be 115 ft long, and later you reduced its size to be between the 100 and 115 ft figure. Am I right?

The length is somewhat similar only.Previously it was too bulky, the head was big then the neck and legs were thicker.

So it wasn't longer than 115 ft?

I think a 75-100 tonne range would be better, because the difference between 100 and 115 ft is relatively big.

It's weight got reduced quite a while ago and i didn't changed.Yet i use maximum weight as 90 tonnes while elsewhere it is mentioned as 80 tonnes. Also length and height won't always be the reason of an animal's heavy weight.

There are estimates wich says that it could be 100 tonnes, and I think that could be the maximum, I don't like how some people downsize it, I mean I saw estimates of 50-60 tonnes for a 100 ft one wich I think is horrible. Based on this I think 75-100 tonnes is a good range, but if you don't want to change it... I'm also waiting for my other comments being answered.

I don't like that either that it got downsized. Also like i said before many days that i don't much believe in the estimations that they give for animals.I don't think they can be 100 % accurate. However there is 2 more giants which is yet to enter the gallery,Puertasaurus is mentioned as upto 110 tonnes and i am going to mentioned Alamosaurus upto 100 tonnes.Well, all these 3 giants could be similar in size or any of them could be slightly bigger than the other,no one can know that unless more fossils gets unearthed of those 3 giants which is not much possible as i think.

I compared this picture with the previous version today, and I saw that the Argentinosaurus is bigger in the previous versionon, because the man is smaller. In this version the Argentinosaurus is smaller, because the man is bigger. Why?

You think few of the Dinosaurs i made so far are all stock ?? If this Dino is a stock, then you should see it in some other site but you won't.First of all does that look like a 3D model ? No,it's not. First of all it won't look much better like a Dinosaur, anyway.

You thought when i post under the photo manipulation category, that means i just cut some Dinosaur from some other picture made by someone and i pasted it ? (Which will be the case mostly in Dinosaur photo manipulations you will find in online.)

If i did that way then i should be having plenty of Dinosaur images because that is not much of a work, just cutting some animal from some picture and putting it in another picture but that is not what i did.All the animals i have made using modern animals. There are some people who have made good photomanipulations for many mammals but they didn't make

Dinosaurs. The reason is,its tough to make Dinosaurs in this way.Mammals are somewhat easier to make because most modern mammals look similar as the prehistoric mammals but that is not the case for Dinosaurs. That is why in my gallery, there are few Dinosaurs and more mammals.

These are not drawings man :) Modern animals pictures are used in these.I said to the other person that i don't use stock images, only free images from the web. It's really surprising for me that how some people can't able to identify between drawings and photo manipulation/3D pictures.Come on,drawings can't look real like that.
