Since I'm obsessed with CC and public domain, I decided to make a set of tutorials that cover what those things are and why they matter to us artists :D Hopefully this helps you guys better understand CC licenses and you utilize that knowledge to use resources properly :la:

If you found this, or any other tutorial, helpful, please spread the word and share them with your friends x3 That really helps me out and I'd super appreciate it!

My own CC licensed stock can be found on my stock Deviantart, Patreon, and Pixabay :)

So, how exactly do CC licenses affect the situation if there is no formal copyright in place? I mean, I put NC-ND-Attrib markers on most of the works I post here but none of them have formal copyright declarations attached.

Also, if I specify an NC license, does that mean that even I am prohibited from making money off of my creations?

Copyright should be automatic when you create something. (Baring it's not illegal or infringing on other copyrights, haha.)

"Copyright is secured automatically when the work is created, and a work is “created” when it is fixed in a copy or phonorecord for the first time." - via… (ctrl-f "automatic" or go to page 3)

Whatever license you apply to your works is irrelevant to you. You have the copyright, you can do whatever you want with it. It's only other people who you're controlling permissions for.

I see. So every thing I post here that is original content has an inherent copyright... Thanks. :highfive:
