Edit (Dec 31): Added 2018 and 1999! I'm wondering if I should make separate ones of these for things like sketches or my watercolor paintings? Could be fun to see. Perhaps in the future ;) In the mean time, I just want things to look as consistent as possible here to help with seeing the progress.

Edit (Dec 28): Added 2017! #hype
Edit (Dec 16): Added 2016! :la: If you want to see lots more of my older artworks/sketches, click here :)
Edit (Dec. 25): Added 2015.
Edit (Dec. 28): Added 2014 :)
Edit (Jan. 1): Added 2013, delayed since I had to quick finish a piece, haha.
EDIT (Dec. 3): Finalized 2012 with this year's work. Wish me luck for 2013!

Because:
-It's never too late to hop on the bandwagon
-I'm bored
-I don't want to study for exams
-I needed a newer version of the old one
-And I'm sort of curious :3

Previous progression meme thingie: wondering-souls.deviantart.com… (1999/2003 - 2008)
I tried to pick different ones from the ones already listed there.

---

I think the biggest challenge of making this was choosing the art! It's neat to see this all nice and organized though.

I just realized I have all my realism pieces for the past four years as the last slot. I guess I have a tendency to do them late in the year or something XD

Yay :3

How can you still have your childhood drawings ?? :( (Sad)

My Mom used to throw them away  because they were tons of drawings everywhere in the house No, I disagree!
I lost many little comics i did and some heroes concept (so sad) Rage

I didn't start drawing much until middle school, so there wasn't much to save from the get-go. But my mom was also big on saving as much of, well, anything that she could. (She still hoards to this day, haha.)

I'm sorry you don't have much of yours though :( It can be sad for sure to lose that history. But hopefully you're able to hold on to what you have now and will be able to look back on them in the future.

It is cool to see the improvement with the years! Two nights ago I was archiving my 2018 folder and realized I had exactly 20 years of archived drawings in my shelf. Should do a meme like that to see the improvement.

thats really nice! The evolution is really noticeable, I wish I could do character X( . I'm just doing head and shoulder. ARGH!

Thanks so much! I did mostly head and shoulders for a while, but the only way to get used to drawing more is by drawing more ;) Don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone if you want to :)

Thank you for posting this. It really illustrates something that Dr. Henry Cloud made apparent in one of his Youtube videos that reaching really awesome is a matter of little steps versus a great big leap. This really lets me see the progress of those 'little steps' you made in order to get where you are today.  To me, this is encouragement. :)

Oh for sure, I started out drawing those little derpy stick figures that everyone does :) I'm glad this was able to encourage you! That's fantastic
