I enjoyed the movie overall, though I felt it would’ve done better to trim out a few excess characters in favor of adding more depth to the ones it’d keep. The Storm King in particular was just so shallow - he’s a bad guy, doing bad guy things, because… he’s a bad guy. And I wish we could move Twilight past the “I gotta do it alone; oh wait I should’ve trusted my friends” trope that she’s been pigeonholed into…
It sounds like Hasbro made a decent profit, so here’s hoping we’ll get another one

Yeah, and who's fault was that anyway? Might it have been because the movie focused so much on Tempest that just about everyone else got horribly sidelined just to accommodate her. Seriously, the Storm King was awesome in the prequel comic and was really entertaining on screen. It's just a shame that they only gave him 8 minutes in the movie, and most of that was devoted to defeating him.

And, for the backstory of Tempest, if you're interested, there are the first 3 chapter of her official backstory "The Stormy Road To Canterlot", free on the website of the Hasbro. They expain just her life when she was yunger, byt I really enjoyed them!
