in love with this and her wondrous empress head wrap/dress thang that makes this feel so strangely alien and fae royal. wonderful color palette. watercolor? this makes me want to break my watercolor paints out. its been to long. thanks for the inspiration!
I love this style. It vaguely reminds me of Susan Sedon Boulet, but I really think that's more in your color choces than the style. More so, it reminds me of an illustrator that I really admired in the 80's, but I can't remember her name. I was always intrigued by her many layers of color and the images that she embedded within the main subject in such a way as to further describe the subject in a very poetic and lyrical way, rather than only show its likeness, just as you have done here. She made the picture books I checked out from the library with my first library cards so much more exciting and vivid than the text part of the story.
Extremely excellent use of negative space, and very creative! And I do love the choice of theme. Very original, and very imaginative. This does what good fine art should do, inspires the mind to want to create.
Out of curiosity, though, what medium did you use? Water colors? Colored washes? Thinned acrylics?

faved!
The palette is so refreshing here, and so laid-back. Perfect for the title, I feel :)
I love her face, her lips and little tea-cup holding hands~ <3
You have a very beautiful painting style.
