Mordred, Vladimir, and Arachne were spending the day down by the beach, sand enveloped their hooves as they traveled along the ocean border. It made it impossible to run. Mordred still had tons of energy from his younger age, and made it into a fun game of how much sand he could disperse in a short time. With Mordred sprinting around, Vlad and Arachne spent time down at the water's edge in the harder packed sand. They wandered for a while, eventually coming to a few tide pools that were warmed by the sun. Both Vladimir and Arachne settled into one each, laying in the warm water. Vlad watched as a little crustacean scuttled past, it's legs going at a mile a minute compared to a horse. It was peaceful, the sun did beat down on them, but it was comfortable. It had been about two years since the adept stallion, Vladimir, and the haste colt Mordred, met the shaggy maned haste mare named Arachne. At first Vlad had issues with the mare, she came off a little creepy at times, giggling and showing teeth at inappropriate times. However Vladimir learned fairly quickly on that she was almost as desperate to protect Mordred as he was. When Vlad had discovered a clean pond and began to paw at it in play, Mordred had wandered off. The colt had gotten older, he was nearly fully grown and standing way taller than Vlad himself, however he couldn't seem to get those last few inches to reach Arachne's height. Mayhaps they would come later, for the moment however, Arachne and Vladimir were distracted long enough for Mordred to dissapear into the brush of the mountains.
