please don't let me go...

"...I desperately need you." That's a line from the Owl City song, "Meteor Shower."  It's been playing in my head a lot lately, because it's becoming increasingly relevant to me.   Okay, so in my last journal, I mentioned how Dad's health wasn't  looking good. Well, since then, he's had another scan.  The growths in his abdomen are still continuing their slow disappearance, Thank God Almighty.  The spots that showed up in his lungs, which lit up in the scan like cancer, have not grown one bit since they first appeared, Thank God Almighty, and the other spots proved to be some kind of infection cleared up by medication, Thank God Almighty.

That Didn't Last Long

(cross-posted in the Clockwurx journal) Dad had another scan.  The cancer in his abdomen hasn't changed, but they've found growths on his lung.  There's a biopsy next week to find out what they are.   God, I was really hoping this would be over.  I was actually expecting that this latest test would only show that the cancer was shrinking further. I think I'm numb.  Maybe it's shock.  Maybe I'm just too tired to be scared.  I don't know.   But if any of you would be willing to say a little prayer for us, I'd really appreciate it.   Thanks.
