Top 10 Characters I Like That Others Hate

1. Mikaela and Yuichiro Hyakuya (Owari no Seraph) 

Hated because: They're annoying, selfish, murderous, and evil
I like them because: No, they're not. Yuu is literally the opposite of selfish. He cares about everyone and calls them family. And murderous? No. Mika was only that way because he was a vampire, and he never wanted to be one. Poor guy. Also, put yourself in either of their shoes. Mika has no one left to care about except Yuu and the world around him is filled with cruel, manipulative people. And he is one of the few good people in the world he lives in. 

2. Shion (No 6) 
Hated because: He's a brat, he's gay and kissed Nezumi, he's boring
I like him because: Yeah, he's gay/bi, so what? If you're homophobic, you shouldn't watch this anime. It literally portrays the main characters, Shion and Nezumi as LGBT. And it's not meant for fetish purposes. I honestly hope there's more positive representation of LGBT characters in future anime. They have positively portrayed female anime characters and some positively portrayed POC characters as well. Plus, another thing I like about Shion is that he shares the same birthday as I do, but two years younger than me. And is he a brat? Fuck no! He's one of the LEAST brattiest anime protagonists and one of the least cliched/generic ones as well.

3. Maki Nishikino  Eli Ayase Nozomi Tojo and Nico Yazawa (Love Live)
Hated because:
 Maki: She's a tsundere, she's not cute or kawaii like the others, she has a deep voice which is "annoying," she's boring
 Eli: She's a bitch, she's rude, she doesn't care about her school and all that shit
 Nozomi: She's a she-pervert, she has an annoying voice, she sexually harasses the other girls, she body shames others
 Nico: She's cancer, she's annoying, she's the worst, she's selfish, she's a brat, she's Tumblr, she ruined a "terrible" anime, she's overrated
Okay, say what you want about Maki, but I really like her! Yes, she's a tsundere, but she's not a "IMMA PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE U ABUSIVE DICKHEAD BOYFRIEND" type of tsundere (I don't think she even likes boys either), and HOW THE FUCKING HELL IS SHE NOT CUTE?! She's got red hair, purple eyes, and a cute puppy face! She's really not a bad character you guys. And her voice is gorgeous AF!
As for Eli, she's not nowhere as bitchy as Umi (I like Umi, but she's one of my least faves since her personality kinda annoys me more than the others). She cares about her friends and her school.
 Then onto Nozomi, she's a comic relief character. She's not meant to be a selfish bitch. If you look past the fact that she likes touching the others boobies, she's actually one of the nicest girls in the show. Also, say what you want about her voice, but I think she has a lovely voice! Plus, had it not been for her, U's wouldn't exist.
And Nico, no. She's nowhere NEAR as bad as everyone makes her out to be. She's actually the most hated, yet most popular character in the fandom (yes, it's possible). Also, I had issues with her at first, but she's grown on me for the last few episodes.

4. Noctis Lucis Caelum   (Final Fantasy 15)(there weren't any icons for him so I had to use a stamp)
Hated because: he's emo, he whines, his fans hate Lightning, he's a crybaby, he looks like Sasuke
I like him because: Honestly, he's not a bad character. The only reason he's "emo" and whiny is because he
-lost his father
-didn't get to see Luna and she died when he got to see her
-is frustrated with being the king and all
-got betrayed by Ardyn
-found out the imperials killed Jared
-so on so forth
He has his reasons to whine. Deal with it. Anyway, hating him because his fans hate Lightning? What. The. Fuck?

5. Rem    and Emilia (Re Zero)
Hated because:
 Rem: her fanbase is annoying, she tried to kill Subaru, she's overrated, she gets in the way of Subaru x Emilia
 Emilia: she's trash, she's a Mary Sue, she's not cute
Okay, let's be honest here. Both girls are cute, neither of them are trash, and they both care about Subaru. And Rem is my favorite anime girl! She is so cute!

6. Yoshiko Tsushima  Riko Sakurauchi and Mari Ohara  (Love Live Sunshine)
Hated because:
Yoshiko: She's a chuubinyo, she's cancer, she's worse than Nico, she's a Satanist
Riko: She's flat, she has no character development, she is a bad friend, she hates dogs
Mari: She's annoying, especially her voice
Look, I give no fucks even Yoshiko is a chuubinyo. She's a goth, and she's hilarious! I love her WAY more than Nico as well! Also, she's not really a Satanist. She's just weird.
As for Riko, she's not flat, as I heard that she's later gonna have character development in the second season. And she's not a bad friend either. She cares very much about You and Chika. 
And I think Mari is hilarious as well! That's why I love her!


7. Eren Jaeger  (Attack on Titan) and Kaneki Ken  (Tokyo Ghoul)
Hated because:
Eren: He whines, he's a generic protagonist, he's polarizing, he's dumb
Kaneki: Pretty much the same reasons as Eren
I like them because: Honestly, I think they're both badass! They may be whiny and all, but do you expect them to stay sane and not cry after what they've been through? Hell no! Poor guys just need some breaks

8. Ciel Phantomhive :bademoticon: (Black Butler) 
Hated because: He's abusive toward his servants, he's arrogant, he's stuck-up, he's selfish and cares about no one
I like him because: Hell no! It's not true at all that he abuses his servants! And yes, he's arrogant and stuck-up, but he's no where near as bad as Alois. Plus, he does care about his servants and family very much and doesn't treat them like trash.

9. Madoka Kaname  (Madoka Magica)
Hated because: She whines, she's a crybaby, she's weak, she's useless, she doesn't become useful until the last episode
Why I like her: Look, how is she not supposed to whine after her friends suffer and die one by one all in front of her? And she can't tell her mom or she won't believe her? Give me a good reason. Plus, I can't bring myself to hate her. She's too adorable!
 
10. Belle (Beauty and the Beast) and Ariel  (The Little Mermaid) 
Sorry, but neither of them are weak, useless, or anti feminist. And this is coming from someone whose favorite princess is Rapunzel
