So AFO is a no go, by my own choice. A combination of a not very good artist alley experience last year and costs to attend wouldn't be worth it. AFO's artist alley has gone downhill since from what I remembered a couple years ago. They cram everyone on tiny 3.5ft tables when the average artist in artist alley needs, not wants, NEEDS a whole table to properly display their merchandise to attract more customers. Last year I had to keep half of stuff behind the table because I couldn't display it. It's slightly annoying. And we're forced to buy a 3day pass with purchasing a table. $75.00 and only one badge. Not to mention costs for hotel, and transport to get up to Orlando. Maybe if we were able to get a whole table sure. But why should I spend, $300 (not including the $75 table fee) to get up to Orlando, to have a 3.5ft table space, have people screaming at me when my 1 single friend tries to keep me company behind the table, as per the rules yada yada. No thanks. -__-; I'm going to have stick with local cons so Mizucon is going to be my next one. And possibly EXPcon because St. Augustine is near and dear to me ;__; and I want to go back. I think that for artist alley if they are going to make us pay for a 3day badge, put us inside the dealers room. And give artist an opportunity to get a whole table. I like AFO as a convention but their artist alley experience each year keeps ruining it for me and the return isn't worth it.
