ARTISTS WHO I LOVE AND INSPIRE ME
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players"
~ William Shakespeare
"Whether in success or in failure, I'm proud of every single movie I've directed."
~Stephen SpielbergA little bit about me...
My name is Sakura. I believe that art comes in many forms. It doesn't necessarily have to be paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Art is anything that can be created when expressed with passion and emotion. Poetry, writing, designing, crafts, dancing, singing, song-writing, film making, and my favorite: acting! ^W^
I don't believe in natural born talents, because I don't think there's such a thing. "Talent" is just a term for a highly advanced skill that comes from hard work, dedication, and, of course, practice practice practice!
I'm a self taught artist, and open to new things. Now, I’ve taken the required art classes in Elementary/Grammar school according to the schedule of the school (like every regular school). However… everything else is more self-taught and learning techniques by either looking up tutorials or the “What does this button do?” method.
I don’t have my own style actually (especially not in drawing |D). However, I do like to do things and create things that few or no people have ever thought of before. I tend to stay away from hypes and bandwagons (i.e. drawing certain things “just because someone else is drawing them"). I feel like getting sucked into drawing things “because they’re drawing it” defeats the purpose of originality and creativity. In all honesty, it feels like a lazy excuse. I often times like to “take the road less traveled”.
Even if a meme or bandwagon gets so much hype and becomes popular for a prolonged amount of time, I still won't do it until the hype simmers down. Even if I see how fun it looks to do----and I really want to do it---and if I have uncontrollable urges to do it.... I still won't do it. Nope. If I did, I'd be more of a hypocrite than I already am.
Now, I admit, sometimes, I’d like to “Draw things that someone else is drawing”. But, instead of blatantly copy it like everyone else would„ I’d study it for a moment and ask myself “Okay, how can I make this somewhat similar to the original concept but make it different at the same time?” With that, I tend to add my own twist or my own take on things.
Anywho. Thanks for dropping by my profile, and enjoy your stay as you browse around~! ^u^ (Please DO NOT post Chain Comments, beg for points, or ask personal questions, thank you. But, feel free to thank me for faves, watches, etc.).
