When we finally arrived at the meeting place, the second half of the army was already there. As our mass of dragons merged with the other large group, I felt a little bit of hope begin to stir. With an army this size, we might have a chance, especially if we caught Avelus off-guard.
As soon as my feet hit the ground, I immediately began to search for Turk. It didn't take me long to find him; standing around with Falor, Evoa, and the humans as they watched the army grow.

Falor, Turk and I did not waste any time. Soon after the last of the captive dragons had departed, we set out in the direction Snail had pointed us. Usually we flew, though occasionally we landed and walked to give our wings a rest.

The tall, green-scaled dragon looked at us seriously. Relan, Snail, and I had broken off from the others to see if anyone else had had any trouble with Nirok and his gang. The green dragon was the leader of a small group of nomads much like our own, and apparently he had heard of Nirok before.
"Raiders? What do you mean by that?" Relan asked.
