For a long while, old man Itarian has been living for the most part alone up until he stumbled across Aeldwix bumbling around in the wild with no knowledge of how to survive.  He helped him adjust, and in that Itarian had a companion out in the lonely wilderness.  He was grateful to the young armored kukuri and deeply enjoyed his time with him.  He knew that Aeldwix would need more to feel welcomed and comfortable, and he wanted to show him just what he felt in having this companionship... and so Itarian found an old nest den and spent days in secret digging it out, moving stone and making a comfortable den space for him.  When he finally revealed to Aeldwix his new home there was almost too much joy to be had between them.
