oh man, where do i even start with this amazing experiencePre-Con
i was a wreck. the day before we left i was up for 30+ hours before i snagged two hours of very interrupted sleep, before continuing on until we left at 8am. i passed out not long into the car ride, all of our stuff packed to the brim along with my crew, the sun shining and excitement and exhaustion in the air. Cosplay
I was Yang Xaoi Long for Fri & Sat! Thanks to the amazingness of my best friends, particularly Leer, they were able to put together a solid cosplay
The four of us were Team RWBY and we honestly looked killer. I can't wait for my schedule to normalize so I can begin work on the weapons and fixing all the parts of the cosplay! My goal this summer is to fix some old cosplays to be up to snuff, as well as make some new stuff.
We went to the RWBY Photoshoot and had tons of fun as always. It was wonderful seeing the new faces and our group grow even bigger than last year, as well as connecting with the old and gushing about how amazing everyone was.The Con
I went in with moderate expectations. I had not gotten nearly enough work done despite my lack of sleep for the weeks before, though we did have a new set up and lots of new items. We ended up doing better than our phenomenal last year, and after our finally tally I was almost in tears. The people we met this year were amazing, as always. I love this con more than any other, both as a seller and as an attendee. Next Year
it's bittersweet that this was our final year in Somerset. I've been going to AN since 2011, and never had a bad year there. though i will miss the familiarity of the location (i will NOT miss crossing that damn street) and the routine of it all, I am excited for a new location and the potential it has. i sincerely trust the people at AN to make next year as solid as this year. i've never been to Atlantic City, so here's hoping we make it into the AA again <3Real Life
two weeks of con prep, 4 days of AN, and 2 days of E3...i am not mentally prepared to return to my real life. D:
i am sure the con funk will hit me soon, as AN is my absolute favorite weekend of the year despite the exhaustion, heat, and insanity. it's an amazing con and i love it with all my heart!Upcoming
We're going to the Fandom Swap Meet and Anibash this summer. Other than that, my plans are to restock as much as possible - my digicrests and pokemon badges are impossible to keep in stock - as well as get some new products in. i'm hoping to add a new con to my roster next year, either via my friends' new local con and/or an established one.
i'm exhausted and in need of a shower, but i really hope this summer will be the mark of a new era in my life. this past weekend has proven the only thing capable of holding me back is myself - i have to do what i have to do.
