Maquettes are great for getting angles right when drawing, especially when drawing imagined creatures. This is a maquette I made of a dragon character I'm developing. I couldn't get the 3/4 view of his head right, so I decided to sculpt this to help.
For this dragon:

This is fairly rough because he's just a maquette. I really want to sculpt a model of him where I make sure everything is
perfect and get all the nice textures on him. Though the thought of doing all those teeth again is...unappealing right now, haha!
"Gator Dragon" will change once the animal/character gets a name.
Medium = Super Sculpey with aluminum foil "armature".
