Creation of Axium
In the long past there was the chaos of the cosmos. So much potential energy compressed all into a confined space leaving a great ball of molten energy spiraling through the vast coldness of space and the chaotic energies of the cosmos; this ball of energy was littered with beings of pure energy, ranging from infernos to bubbling foaming waters. Harsh winds withered the strong earth all the while darkness lurked in the core of the maelstrom in a material called Sallite. This massive ball of chaos soon came into the orbit of a blue dwarf that cindered the outer layer of the chaotic energies into a thick dark crust; it was from this it was from this burnt earth that life began. The Firstborn emerged from the burnt chaos; the first to pull him from the ash was Nyiro, with skin of burnt bronze and a helmet of flames. The second to emerge was Drad’ta the only female Firstborn, with green flesh who held a great staff of ice. The last to emerge was Ghal-Rune, whose skin was gray as the

A Hero's Journey: A Tale of Axium
It was upon the warmest of Midsummer days that the world of Axium would change once more, a world born of chaos, a world that's parents had built great things and eventually met their demise by the dark energies of their child, and now this world once more would experience chaos again in the years to come. But it was upon this day that the world rejoiced Kingdom, Empire, and City-state alike as the most bountiful harvest the known world had ever seen took place. It was upon this joyous day that not even the Human King's Dinner tables were able to host all that food, so on this day every being was equal, King's fed the poor, farmers gave meals to strangers, and even some different races made peace upon this most holy day that most chalked up to being a day the Greatborn; The first beings on Axium and the gods. Where pleased with all mortals. But the few, the very few knew something far greater was happening upon this day, something ancient was stirring.
It was upon this holy day that on

Wolfslake Act 3
It had only been several hours since Mr. Jackson had made it to the MaMook Timber Mill and was taken in by the Lumber-Jacks. He woke to silence coughing, sweat upon his brow as he lay on a bed before the window, his gaze looked around the dim room, a fire had been going but died in its furnace being untended. The only light was cast by a dim lantern across the room, pain filling his feet as he slowly would stand up from the bed wrapped in a blanket slowly making his way across the room finding it odd he heard no sounds from outside as he would reach to take the lantern and heard a thump upon the glass of the window behind him. Turning slowly Jackson held the lantern up to look across the room and then saw upon the window a sudden hand smacked against its cold surface gliding downwards red crimson tracing its path upon the surface of the window.
Jackson stood silent watching the sight quickly reaching down to turn off the lantern he would step back and crouched beside the dresser in the

Wolfslake Act 2
It was about an hour after leaving Val-Jalbert that Jackson let the old horse stop to rest. “Let me get you some water.” He spoke to the horse who was his only company now in these cold white woods. Setting the reigns down Jackson climbed off the wagon’s seat to drop to the frost below his boots. He sank into the snow once he stood upon it and it traveled up stopping at his knees, then he trudged towards the back of the wagon to pull from the bundled supplies a metal jug with the sound of liquid thrashing back and forth inside. Pulling the metal jug close to his chest as he trudged back towards the front of the cart moving to set down the metal jug and unscrew the cap from the top of the Water Jug. Dropping the metal cap to the snow below it then he tipped the jug over to fill the cap full of the cold liquid, the old horse happily went towards to begin drinking from the cap. Jackson’s attention left the drinking horse to observe the woodlands around him. The sun

Wolfslake Act 1 by Brendan Young
The Sun shined dully through the grey clouds above the snow drenched woodlands below, the soft rush of wind between the branches and the thud of snow falling in large clumps. Then came the soft rumble of wooden wheels crushing snow under them, the clop of hooves compacting the snow underneath them, it was a horse drawn wagon that trudged through the snow; Truly a rare sight in these parts as sled teams were more common place. In the wagon came bundles of supplies draped in various bits of cloth those on the top covered in a thin layer of snow fall. The driver of the wagon was a slim man, clad in a big brown wool jacket that was closed keeping his form below hidden. He was a foreigner in every regard little more than a patch of brown hair on his upper lip and those bright blue eyes that peered out at the white forest and slightly beaten trail before him. "Val-Jalbert should be about here, if I recall." The Foreigner said to himself moving to pull open his long coat exposing the gray fle

The Golden Horn
A Tale of Axium
by
Brendan Young
The sun beat down on the black desert of the Aazium, the black sands sparkled like ebony jewels as the sun shined over the large dunes of the Aazium desert. Legolis stood silent watching the beautiful jewels before him faint beads of sweat drenched his lean well-built form in the intense heat of the black desert. "No warmer a place exists in Axium." Spoke forth that familiar voice echoed in his head. "Ah you are a dull one with your random trivia." Legolis retorted back to that voice in his head. "If we did not share the same body I would of killed you by now if we were not bound into the same body, Learner." The Ancient voice said in a playful manner. While Legolis grinned under the linen bandages covering his face to protect it from the heat and to conceal his birth defect. The black sands seemed to slither away as Legolis walked down the dune towards the ruined camp at the bottom of the desert valley that was not far from Legolis.
