Name: Koju
Meaning: "Shield" in Yoruba
Age: Cub 
Pride: Uvamizi
Appearance: Koju is less than one foot, and is small at his age, after all he is just a cub a this point so he's not very tall. He is a brown ruddy color while his under belly is a bit lighter and so is his nose which is an orange color to it. One unusual thing is that Koju has heterochrome eyes, his eyes are different colors, were as the one on the left is a dark blue, and the one on the right is a lighter blue. Another interesting feature in his left eye is his pupil is 'incomplete' and seems to be missing a piece in. This is where Koju gains his title "Snake in the eye." Or "Snake" for short. This small feature doesn't seem to affect his vision but its appearance is odd. When Koju is much older he will be a large lion and will have plenty of fur just like his dad.

Personality: 
+Loyal:"Mom and dad are very kind, but I know my dad is king. I will do my best for the pride when I'm old enough to be strong one day!" Koju is very loyal especially to his family. If his mother or father order him to go do something he will obey it without hestiation. Koju has often been known to be a "daddy's boy." Where he follows Shoka around even if he doesn't always want it. Koju likes to be obedient even if he isn't always wanted all the time.
+Outgoing: "Come and meet my siblings, I think you'll like them very much!" Koju is extremely friendly towards others, his parents and siblings see it and so will the other lions in his pride. Of course when he is older they will see a lion that is much older and wiser when he grows up too. Though Koju isn't a chatter box, he lets others speak up when its their turn.
+Curious: "What's in that cave? Well there's only one way to find out!" Koju is curious he will ask questions when needed, he loves to learn anything new or something that might improve his skills when he is older like pouncing. If there's a mysterious cave that needs to be explored, Koju will go in and explore it. However he will ask his siblings if they want to come too, he doesn't want them to miss out on the possible adventure.

-Stubborn: "I am not leaving from this spot!" Koju is stubborn. Once he gets his ideas in motion or thinks of a plan he will not think to change it. This will often be his downfall when he will not accept change or move from the old ways. 
-Confident: "With Mfalme with me I can do almost anything!" Koju with his pilgrammage now behind him has felt a surge of confidence after gaining his father's patron. He feels as of he might be able to handle some things and become a warrior. It's the least he can do for his pride!
-Ignorant: "Uvamizi's way is the only way. I don't care so much for other prides." It's clear Koju's way of thinking has been mended apart to the ways of the Uvamizi's pride. he doesn't know much about other prides that may be down there that are much more accepting than others. Koju may take awhile to learn about them if he ever asks. But for now he hardly knows anything and just thinks they are other lions.

History: 

Koju is one of the sons of Uru and Shoka in the Uvamizi pride but in order to understand his birth you must go back in time from several years ago. Shoka was a member of the Uvamizi pride as his brother Isando challenged the current king and defeated him. That made it so Shoka was a prince and Isando was the leader for some time. As Isando made his way to the throne he made Shoka the Matsara or a royal guard towards the king. As Shoka soon found his place in the pride there was a decision on making a raid party to go towards the lower parts far from Uvamizi’s borders.

That was when Shoka and a part of the raiding party found Uru as the female was indeed not a rogue but she belonged to another pride named Mateso. Shoka and his pride members saw this as a opportunity and took the chance to kidnap Uru. When the pride came home shortly after it was clear that not everyone made it back to their homeland, Isando had been killed before he could make it. And at the ceremony that was when it dawned on Shoka that he would become king. All this time, Uru had been a prisoner of war, one of Shoka’s slaves, although she was treated with kindness for most of the time.

She had a hard time adjusting to the oxygen and the life of Uvamizi but somehow Uru made it, and it probably made her stronger that way. As the ceremony began for Isando, Shoka was now king of the pride and he chose Uru to be a mate as the prophecy had been fulfilled on Shoka’s end. Since Uru became queen that also meant she was free. It wouldn’t be long before five healthy cubs were born and Koju came in as well. Although he is young now, he is eager to explore the world around him and perhaps find his way into this new world. And find a position too in his life. Despite Koju’s fluffiness some of the lions noticed one eye looked different as he earned the title “Snake in the Eye.” Perhaps Koju one day will find greatness in his life and find a mate, but for now, he is more focused on playing and pouncing, cub stuff!

Koju was also spotted with some of the gathering of the prides where he was playing with the cubs from other Prides when he was a bit older. however, since the blizzard has taken the Uvamizi main lands, Koju was forced to flee with his family and Shoka grabbed him while he accidentally got left behind. Koju has been staying in the temporary den as he awaits the day that the family and pride can return to their homeland once again. Koju is now a teen and has been considering the path of a warrior when he is old enough for it.

Now that Koju is two and a half years for it he went on his Pilgrimage and went on to meet the God Mfalme who has become his patreon god for a warrior.
