Wanting so much more

this is a painting i finished for midterms. its a self identity portrait. sooo let me explain it... it is 4.5 feet by 2.5 feet and its all done in acrylic paints! and heres the symbolism: im in a dark pit (the world) reaching towards the bright beautiful sky (heaven) wishing to be with Jesus, the hands around me are a part of the dark pit reaching to grab me and hold me down, they each represent sin. more specificly greed, lust, and anger/wrath... each sins ive delt with in the past or am dealing with... of course there are plenty more sins that arnt on there but i might add two more hands later (sloth and unknown... unkown being youd only be able to see the finger tips) im really really happy with it. ive never enjoyed painting untill this painting. i hope you all enjoy it and see the kind of hope and joy i have because of my Lord!
