Caroline looked around the forest as the sun was starting to set. Another day spent in hiding for her and Date Dajuna. The Utahraptor paced around somewhat as they hid within the forest. “Ms. Sharktooth, how long are we going to stay here?” She finally asked. Caroline turned to her. “We are going to move once it gets dark out. If we were seen, the humans would panic at the drop of a hat,” the Giganotosaurus replied calmly. “Now, we just need an area where we can hide out for the time being.” As Caroline finished her sentence, the Giganotosaurus rose to her feet and then continued through the forest. Dajuna followed her shortly after, but the Utahraptor noticed that the shadows of the trees made a chain of spikes that streaked across the ground and across the scales of the Giganotosaurus and the feathers of the Utahraptor. Of course he was still trying to overcome getting attacked by Vincent and Brenda on his first day, but he has started to make up for the lousy first impression there,” she said teasingly. It was yet another day in Zoological City as well. The morning chorus of birds was what awoke all of the residents as well. Or rather, the ones that needed or wanted to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping as well. “Quiet you stupid birds!!!” A howler monkey cried out before throwing a large tree branch at the flock of chirping catbirds and kingbirds! Immediately, the kingbirds turned towards the howler monkey, each of them having murderous intent in their eyes. “GET THAT MONKEY!!!!” One of them cried out. Eastern kingbirds are the original angry birds. They will often attack larger birds and even animals in order to defend their territory as well as their young. Sometimes, they may attack in large flocks as well. The howler monkey immediately ran off with the kingbirds flying after him, all while angry chirps filled the air as they did as well! “Sorry! Morning came quickly for Kai as he was awoken to the sounds of birds chirping from outside. As he awoke, he looked outside his window. Only now was he truly able to get something of a grasp of just how different Zoological City was from everything else. He actually noticed that the buildings here were designed very similarly to mountains or trees as well as caves. There were also regular buildings as well, but even these had various types of flora inside as well. Down on the streets, Kai noticed that many of the areas were also different as well. But he couldn't make it out exactly. Bout time I checked this place out. See the sights, he thought to himself. After he got himself dressed and freshened up, Kai began to look outside, making sure that the coast was clear. Nothing was there. Kai sighed a breath of relief. But as soon as he walked out, the macaque from yesterday leapt onto him. "Hey bud! How was your first night?" he screeched happily. Kai lifted him off. "It was

The alarm clock chirped. Chirp chiree! Chirp chiree! Kai woke up almost immediately and turned it off. The time said 6:30 AM. "Alright. Time to get ready," he said to himself. As he ran out of bed and washed up, it was then he realized what day it was. "First day at Zoological Academy! Time to make a good first impression," he said just as he ran out with his backpack and books. Outside his apartment, Clements and several other animals were also on the run, and they were moving fast. You could hear the sounds of hooves clopping, wings flapping, and paws padding. "C'mon bud. School's at Animal Junction! Can't be late!" Clements said. Kai quickly ran off after him. "Hope the train is running properly after what happened yesterday!" Kai said. Clements gulped. "I hope so too," he said with apprehension. As the two of them raced to make their way down the stairs, amongst the hordes of stampeding animals and even people in the same apartment, they had to avoid being trampled or kicked.
