Great Grey-and-Black Owlbear

The Great Grey-and-Black Owlbear is found in most of North America and Asia. It hunts deer, elk, moose, caribou (Canada and Alaska), fish, birds and their eggs, rodents, lagomorphs, insects, and, in Asia, Hanuman Langurs, Wild Boar and Buffalo. It will sometimes eat some plant life, like berries and acorns, and, if given the chance, eat food left by humans. It is smaller than the Great-Horned Grizzly owlbear and the Snowy Polar owlbear. It is the most adaptable owlbear species, adapting to urban life. It lives in forests, mountains, meadows, swamps, and urban areas. It is known to climb trees, even when trying to get away from larger and more aggressive owlbear species.
