I'll be the first to admit that I haven't always been the nicest person on this site. I've lost my temper and made myself look like a mean-spirited and egotistical person. I'm making this thread to let you guys know that I do care. Every day, I've been trying to change my outlook on life into something more positive, and when I see someone struggling with pain, whether it's physical or emotional, I want to help. Sometimes I get into the self-centered mindset and forget the people who made me angry have their own struggles and insecurities. At the end of the day, though, I want nothing but the best for you guys, and I hope that despite whatever situation you find yourself in, you can rebuild, grow, and move on. It won't be easy, but I believe in each and every single person on this website. I love you guys.

Post-Horror: An Emerging Literary Genre

Recently, I've been experimenting with a genre of fiction known as Post-Horror. It's not considered an official style in the broader literary world, but if I had to define it, it's basically fiction that starts out heavily rooted in horror and evolves over time as the narrative progresses. We've seen examples of it in series' like Resident Evil where the characters start out as inexperienced zombie hunters and improve their skills with each title. It also shows in their personalities because they become more desensitized and less afraid. Post-Horror more broadly can go in any direction. Fantasy, romance - nothing's off the table. Essentially, it's horror focused on progression and development rather than fear. I'm actually working on a fic that makes heavy use of the concept, so if you want to check it out, I'll leave a link down below.

Hey, guys. I've been working on my novel Dragon of Grace on AO3 for the last week. Just uploaded chapter two this morning. There's a lot of influence from extreme metal music and retro Japanese video games, so if you guys are interested, I'll be posting the whole thing for free. Here's the link to what I have so far.
