The Blooded Sunset
Chapter 1: Echoing Memory: “One of the Holy Guiding Stars Assists You.”
“[Redacted], it’s time to wake up, my dear.”
I awoke from my slumber with a sickening pain in my chest. It felt familiar, yet so distant to comprehend. The moonlit rays entered my room through the open window, illuminating my space surrounded by medical supplies.
I gazed down at my body, unable to remember how I got here. The only thing I felt was the cold gold of a necklace coiled around my neck. Taking it off, it was accessorized with a cross with the Alnilam star on the very bottom.
Upon gazing into the charm, I felt cold yet soft hands cup my face to look in its direction. It was a light, a light so bright yet brought no harm to my eyes.
“Who are you?” I whispered.
“My identity will be revealed soon, my dear. I am your holy guide. Just pray along the star, and I will be there when I am needed most.”
