Millennial Tails

Tails was first introduced in Sonic 2 on the Genesis. The original Japanese version came out three days before its US and European counterparts, releasing on the date of November 21st, 1992. It's generally believed Tails has always been the same age, but the timeline was never really a main focus - at least as far as the games go. If we go by his first appearance, then assuming he was eight, he would've been a teenager during the early 2000s - the perfect age for nu metal, metalcore, and mall goth culture. A lot of the time, media portrays alternative culture as something to be feared, but looks don't change who people are on the inside. They have to decide that for themselves, and he made that choice the day he met Sonic.
