Hey guys, I know I've kinda been gone, haven't been commenting or submitting much of anything, but I just got an new computer. The switch from XP is Vista has been a little hectic. Most of the changes seem cosmetic, and others just seem to have been made to piss me off even more. Like these User Account Controls... absolutely ridiculous, turned them off the second I turned on the computer. Although I still need to get Photoshop CS4 for 64 bit Vista... cough cough...

Ok, but here is my real question to you guys. I've heard a lot about the speed of Windows 7 and Im wondering if there is a way to have both operating systems on one system. I don't want to commit to the switch because I dont know about the compatability of Windows 7. I've been reading up on 2 OS's and 1 System, but all I've found so far is "dual booting" which has both OS's running at the same time and just switching between the two (which seems a bit ridiculous), VMWare, and partitioning the drives to have Vista on the C: drice and Windows 7 on the E: drive, and then selecting which one you want at start up.

But what i want to do is to have a user account with Vista, and a User Account for Windows 7. No running at the same time, no running one on top of the other, and no selecting between what I want to use on start up. Is this possible?

Your best choice would be to use 2 separate hard drives, one for windows 7 and the other for vista, dual-boot doesnt work well with windows operating systems that have a relationship of newer and older.
