Pro FCxCC stamp by SA948-Stamps Pro FCxCC stamp by SA948-Stamps
Ooh hot pink stamp XD I love randomizing noise gradients.

Anyway, nowadays it seems like it's a crime to pair an FC or OC with a canon character. I see a ton of stamps advocating that they don't do that sort of thing.

Well good for them. But don't put the people that do down.

Only about 5 of my FCs are paired with canon characters. One of them isn't really paired anymore as he was created as an ex XD. Every now and then I get some person who has to tell me that what I'm doing is wrong.

Well sorry people but they were paired long before I came to the internet. I ain't changing what I wrote in my comic books because you don't like it.

Now don't get me wrong. Sometimes I dislike FCxCanon pairings. Mainly the ones whose FC is based on themselves and is essentially saying "ShadowxME". My fursona isn't paired with a canon character. Just my other FCs are.

But really, most of them don't bother me really. Because it's FICTION! And it can never happen anyway. So why make a big deal out of nothing?

So this stamp is for all of you with fan characters paired with canon characters. DO NOT be ashamed of it!

Basicly, The person wanted to created his/her own universe (which actually can be different or be same), to grant his/her wish to make his/her fanon character ship with canon character.

Btw, we can do this at same time.
Use it with positive attitude (Secretly is great choices too) and don't show some arrogant to another person with your fanon and character shipping.

I agree on some parts but had to disgree a teensy bit. I don't want to  be too much of a canon Nazi, but some characters don't need love interests or even deserve one. Romance can be experienced to everyone, but that doesn't mean it is always perfect for them. It depends on personality and their views towards romance. Some characters don't have an interest of romance or prefer to be more independent with no need for someone special to be in their life. Also, some characters won't work well in romantic relationships or will make it one-sided. Characters that are cruel, psychopaths, sadistic or just generally treat others like trash don't deserve a love interest. I'm not saying you are wrong, but I'm just saying that romance is suitable for everybody. If you like OC X Canon, it's fine, but it isn't my cup of tea.

Not being rude or anything since I ship a lot of my OCs with Cannon but are you a troll? I see this same comment on a lot these stamps

I can't believe people are actually arguing about this.
But then again I am that kind of person who doesn't see a difference in FCs & OCs. Both of them are created characters and if you put thought into them, who cares if they are based on some game or whatever or came completely out of nowhere?

You pair your characters up with whom you want, end of story :)
YOU have to be happy with the result, we don't have to make others happy with our artistic decisions after all.

I only have made one but I really agree with you on this. It irks me when people automatically assume an OC is a Mary-Sue simply for being shipped with a Canon character.

I should make a stamp "Canon X Oc did NOT ruind your freaking OTP!!!!"

I agree. I mean, I have an OC and she's paired with Joey Wheeler from Yu-Gi-Oh! and there's this new person on here, saying stuff like: 'Fuck Stacey Muto, she doesn't even exist and is just one of your Mary-Sues!! lol, Mai is a bad ass and is Joey's true love. <3 JOEY X MAI FOREVER!!!'

Hello! Stacey is not a Mary-Sue and she's Joey's true love. Mai is like a couple of years older than Joey. and Joey's a teenager and in high school.
So, I don't know why people like them together. They're never going to happen. And that's why Mai and Valon are destined to be together. because they have a lot in common besides being loners and being mature.
CleanClear777 Featured By Owner Feb 22, 2016  Professional Artist
well that was rude of that person to say that to/about your OCs being paired with any characters
digidestinedgirl09 Featured By Owner Feb 22, 2016  Hobbyist Writer
I know. Ugh. why can't they accept OC x Canon pairings? I'm just sick and tired of people saying that Joey and Mai are perfect together just because they're blonde and whatever. Thanks for finally getting the point of what I'm trying to get. and that person's name is

I respect your opinion, I do, but in my fanbase, EVERY OC I see is always exactly alike. And, they always mistreat the main character's real girlfriend, which I don't like at all. You want us to respect your OC? Respect our favorite characters!

Thank you for making this stamp :) (Smile).

Sure, the FcxCanon can be abused, but so can everything else.

:yuck: Frollo angry Facepalm3 Facepalm  ... Like really when they pair like that almost ALL the time it doesn't makes sense. Is very insulting, in my opinion. Whatever if you like it and don't RUB IN OUR FACES, maybe is okay or not.

I do the same, I think it's harmless as long as the pairing makes sense at the canon stays in character. c:

I agree, and I've actually seen some good FC girlfriends for Lampy from TBLT.
However, I kinda prefer to make my FC a species or entirely new character rather than an individual of a canon species or a lover/relative of a canon character. :)

Like so many OCs shipping them with one particular character. Mkai.
todpole Featured By Owner Sep 15, 2013
I don't mind it as long as the canon character is single or the OC is good. Like an OC I found called Tesla who is a pretty much a smarter Amy with an obsession with Eggman. Or one for Wreck it Ralph called Scrumples who's this animeish, forgetful cook.

I'm not against it at all, because I understand how it is!
However, it does get a little anoying when people decide "Okay, I'm going to pair myself with my favorite character, but I'll give my sona all these powers/dark past/talents ect ect ect". Why don't they just base the charcater after who they are, and not the 'thing' they want to be?
(I said 'thing' in place of Sue because most are such special snowflakes they aren't human anymore).

I agree with this stamp, but it really depends on how the pairings are made. People shouldn't bash on peoples FC/OCxCanon pairings. But if the Canon is COMPLETELY out of character and the OC/FC is a complete Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu, then there is somewhat of a reason to. (But still, it's better to keep your hate to yourself. Bashing is mean no matter what.) For example, I saw this one Pokemon OCxCanon and the OC was paired with Ash and Ash was saying crap like "I LOVE HER MORE THAN MY PIKACHU." I'm sure that it sounded romantic to the creator, but no one in there right mind would believe Ash saying something like that and there were a lot of bash-like comments to prove so.

I have four OCxCanons and I'm proud to say so. Although from time to time I have people telling me that my pairings are wrong. But I've also had people tell me that they're close to canon. So really, it depends on how it's done.

To me, it really depends on how it's done. If it's a Mary Sue X their favorite character and it's all kawai desu desu love and the character that the person is pairing their fan character with are not balanced at all, then I hate the pairing.
HOWEVER, If the character is still in his/her personality, the relationship is balanced, there is chemistry and if it it seems possible it could happen, then I don't mind.
TobixThexSimsmeister Featured By Owner Jul 30, 2012  Student General Artist
I especially support canonxOC, because the fandom I'm most active in (*cough* Invader Zim!) has no canon couples (and few romances between two canon characters would work out). Therefore, there's room for FCs. If done right, CCxFC couples could be an AWESOME addition to a fan fiction or piece of fan art.

harlequin-FL0W8R Featured By Owner Apr 3, 2012  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
Well... *is a hater and proud of not bashing of others for it* ... May I give my reason for hatin'?

The only reason why I hate Fan Characters and Canons being paired together is because the Canon has no interest in the fan character whatsoever... and usually the creator of the Fan Character makes the Canon become interested--which messes up the personality.... (Ex: a quiet, loner-type of guy suddenly "finds" a gf--the fan character... he kinda has to lose the loner attitude first to even socialize or get a girl) ^__^; Like all of you said: Haters gonna hate. But I'mma gonna hate and keep it all to myself.
ThatM0useGuy Featured By Owner Apr 28, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
So, if the one pairing them kept the canon's personality the same, say having the cold, lonely loner initially rejecting the advances until something happens that actually makes the fanon character "sort of... likable"? However, he still rejects her, showing only rare and subtle hints of easing up?
Crescent-Winged Featured By Owner Jul 11, 2012  Student Writer
I agree with you. There's nothing wrong with FCxCannon as long as the cannon is in character. If not, they may as well just make a FC who's a rip off of the cannon but with a personality that works to make a relationship.
