My Best Friend

Dylan is my puppy (he's really old). I want a nice painting of him, he's getting on now, so I want to capture his personality on canvas.
I want to practise hair before I paint on canvas with acrylic.
I found an old unfinished picture to do just that!

This was originally a pencil drawing, but I didn't like the end result.
I decided to use pen to rework it, but I still didn't like it

I then decided to rework the picture with watercolour.
I no longer have the original image (that was destroyed with my old hard drive); so I've had to make it up as I went along.
I am pleased with the result - but I don't like the background.
The hair was fun to do. And it looks nicely clumped.
