It's superb art and looks almost like a hand-drawn cel from an anime series (back when cels were hand-drawn, of course). The only critique I'd like to make is a conceptual one and concerns the position of the eagle on Caminus' left pauldron.
Visually, it would add to the visual excitement in the artwork if the eagle was facing in the same direction as Caminus.
Here are two champions squaring off, The Emperor's champ is locking swords with a favored son of Slaanesh, Caminus is launching into the attack with a confident but hard grin. The viewer's gaze is drawn to where the two champions are staring, namely center of the art, where the swords clash.
...and there's Mr. Left Pauldron Eagle turned away with a decidedly "get me out of here" look. It takes something away, I think. Beyond that, it's lovely work!
Borrowing a theme from the politically-correct term "historically black colleges", "favored son" employs a "historically male" pronoun. I suppose today's gender-neutral version would be "favored scion".
My age is showing, too, I know. I was following Slaanesh back from the beginning when all the pronouns referring to the god were male. That was thirty years ago and the world has changed a bit since then.
Stated gender isn't an issue for me in print any more than it is in bed. Beauty and sensation are far more important. If Visceratio the webcam performer identified as male last year and female now, doesn't bother me at all. Either way, (s)he's breath-takingly beautiful and still packing eight magnificent, uncircumcised, very thick inches.
This is one of the very few recent SFW images, btw.
Yes, now you know. "The Face Of Slaanesh" described in the original "Slaves To Darkness" gamebook is a real-world Chaos gift.
Come to think of it, never mind Caminus. Next Warhammer month, why not a portrait of Slaanesh itself? Your talent is definitely capable of doing the god justice.
Heck I myself was born female, identify as female but don't bat an eye nor care when the military guys at work call me sir instead of ma'm. As long as they don't call me Jenny or Jenni I'm cool with most nick names and pronouns. My own dad use to call me the dungeon rat all the time when I was a collage kid and into Warmachines, D&D and Halo.
Actually, considering Caminus is 9'2" tall not in armor, I suspect her package is a bit bigger then 8 inches. Unlike my poor Reaper Guard Space Marine, Marsh, who is 8'3" outside of armor but has a normal average 6 inch package.
And you're not that old. I'm an old pre-Tau Tyranid player myself. Not enough time nor money to get back into the game so I support it in other ways.
Wow thats a lot of confidence in my skill there... I do like drawing 'monstrous' beings and creatures though.... I'll take it into consideration. No promises.
