Description

Ever since my Carrara took a major hit due to an incompatibility with the drivers for a digitizer tablet, I've been learning to play with Blender so to resume creating models. Bit by bit, I've been learning how to do things with Blender, like rigging, and trying to transport the rigged figures over to DAZ.
Lately, I just got involved with doing Cloth Sims in Blender--admittedly, a subject matter that is insanely way far beyond my skills. But with the invaluable help from several awesome tutorials specifically aimed at newbies like me,, I was able to eventually put together a decent first shot at this. I feel that I learned a tremendous deal from this effort, and I'm hoping I can soon replicate this success with an improved membrane mesh.
What is significant about this is that the elbow joint actually moves up and down within a sleeve of the main sail, much like the arm bones of a batwing really does, rather than just being web-like meshes tied to the bones. In fact, this entire membrane is a single enveloping sleeve with Hooks/Pins anchoring the mesh just along the torso and the ends of the wing-finger bones. The figure shown is just an .obj imported into DAZ for rendering.
