Tug of Worm by Ryser915 Tug of Worm by Ryser915
American Robin pulling an earthworm out of the ground. This is a shot Iíve been trying to capture for awhile, the moment is very brief. As you can see by the its legs, Robins use their whole bodies when pulling worms from the earth.

Suggester said; "An outstanding wild life photograph in which the motion and tension is incredibly strong and capturing. Even though this is "just" a bird catching a worm - it is an impressive capture of that moment."

PULL!!!
Beautiful pic and stunning capture!  It's definitely awesome to catch birds in an action pose like this, and I love how crisp the final result is. :D
Awesome job!  Congrats on the Daily Deviation! :la:

I swear, I see these guys all the time in my backyard. Never could get a decent photo of one, though. They're adorable.

This one looks like he's got the munchies. Yum. Worm.

Excellent shot! I watch the Robins in my yard, but this photo really let me see just how physical pulling on that worm becomes. Thanks for giving me a renewed respect for my feathered friends.

Seriously, you must be very proficient to be able to capture what I imagine is a blink-and-you-miss-it sequence here.

Wow! Stunning shot, it must have been tough getting such a quick moment on camera. I never knew it took that much effort for robins to pull worms out of the ground....

Great job and congrats on the DD! :)

Nice shot. Reminds me of one time when I was a kid there was a robin sitting on a neighbor's house watching a worm in the driveway. At the foot of the driveway was a cat watching the bird. I had to stop and see if the bird would try its luck. It decided discretion was the better part of valor and left. I always wondered if that cat put the worm there on purpose.
